Well, it’s been a really busy two days. I actually pulled an all-nighter last night – haven’t done that in I don’t know how long. The cause? My Kate McKinnon/Dustin Wedekind TriWing Ring kit arrived and I simply had to make these beauties:
Kate and Dustin have been busy working on a book which will include designs for geometric bead shapes based on some techniques learned from Jean Power at a Bead Summit earlier this year. These rings were the result of a limited edition kit they made available as part of preparing the book – and oh my goodness. They are addictive! So addictive, in fact, that I stayed up until 5:30 this morning working on the first one. I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I finished it! The second one went together much faster than the first – but was accompanied by no less a sense of accomplishment than the first. I may never take these rings off.
Now, however, I’m falling asleep over my keyboard and need to catch up on my sleep. Another full day of studio time tomorrow – what a gift these few days have been.
